New World Order

April 29, 2013 in Amnesty, Amnesty International, Freedom, Global Revolution, New World Order, Obama-Nomics, ObamaCare, Obamanation, President Obama, Redistribution of Wealth, Socialism, United Nations, US Sovereignty, White House Fraud by carlos

NwoWhile we have been sleeping, have the “Power Elite” in our country been setting the foundation for a “New World Order”?

Have the Bush’s, Clinton and now our”Dear Leader” been covertly implementing a North American Union that will redistribute the wealth of our Middle Class and redefine our Constitution so that it will accommodate Socialism?

Apparently, our government is printing brochures in Spanish and distributing them in Mexico and our us consulates and embassies that encourage Mexican Illegal Aliens to get on US Welfare.

http://dailycaller.com/2013/04/25/usdamexico-spanish-language-flyer-get-kids-on-food-stamps-without-showing-documents/#ixzz2Ra3xN0HI

These Illegals are being advised by our Government hat becoming SNAP welfare recipients won’t affect their eligibility to apply for American Citizenship! This US/Mexican cooperative program is said to have been surreptitiously initiated by President W Bush.

We are in the process of building a NAFTA superhighway that will stretch from Mexico to Canada and which will allow cheap Chinese goods from Mexican deep water ports to be delivered directly to US and Canadian companies. Trucks entering the US from Mexico don’t have to abide by US Safety laws but rather must only comply with Mexican requirements. US truckers can’t compete with the low wages and inferior

“Between President George H.W. Bush’s “new world order” and the unprecedented governmental growth and massive redistribution of wealth under President Barack Obama, the United States risks losing the greatest middle class ever created in the history of the world. In his groundbreaking new book[AMERICA FOR SALE], Dr. Jerome R. Corsi blows the whistle on a movement to undercut the fundamental principles of limited government that our Founding Fathers fought for and died for trying to establish. As policy-makers manipulate the economic panic of our times to advance a globalist agenda that threatens American sovereignty, we must protect our independent and self-governing nation and preserve the decades of economic power and military strength we have enjoyed since the end of World War II.”

2nd Amendment Rights Under Fire – U.N. Treaty & Firearm Registration – Gun Control

March 28, 2013 in "Bill of Rights", 2nd Amendment, Gun Control, Hope and Change, President Obama, United Nations, United States Constitution, United States Sovereignty by admin

Aaa UnUNITED NATIONS –  Supporters of a U.N.  treaty designed to regulate the multibillion-dollar global arms trade were  optimistic that a final draft circulated a day before Thursday’s deadline will  reach consensus.

Negotiators reconvened last week in a final attempt to reach a deal on the  Arms Trade Treaty, which would require all countries to establish national  regulations to control the transfer of conventional arms and to regulate arms  brokers.

U.N. diplomats, speaking on condition of anonymity because negotiations have  been private, said Wednesday the United States was virtually certain to go along  with the latest text.

Hopes of reaching agreement on what would be a landmark treaty were dashed  last July when the U.S. said it needed more time to consider the proposed accord  — a move quickly backed by Russia and China. In December, the U.N. General  Assembly decided to hold a final conference and set Thursday as the deadline for  reaching agreement.

“We need a treaty,” China’s U.N. Ambassador Li Baodong told The Associated  Press. “We hope for consensus.”

Questions remain on whether Iran, Egypt, India and several other countries  that had serious concerns about the text would go along with the draft, which  requires agreement of all 193 U.N. member states for adoption.

There has never been an international treaty regulating the estimated $60  billion global arms trade. For more than a decade, activists and some  governments have been pushing for international rules to try to keep illicit  weapons out of the hands of terrorists, insurgent fighters and organized  crime.

“It’s important for each and every country in the world that we have a  regulation of the international arms trade,” Germany’s U.N. Ambassador Peter  Wittig told the AP. “There are still some divergencies of views, but I trust we  can overcome them.”

The draft treaty does not control the domestic use of weapons in any country,  but it would require all countries to establish national regulations to control  the transfer of conventional arms, parts and components and to regulate arms  brokers. It would prohibit states that ratify the treaty from transferring  conventional weapons if they would violate arms embargoes or if they would  promote acts of genocide, crimes against humanity or war crimes.

The final draft makes this human rights provision even stronger, adding that  the export of conventional arms should be prohibited if they could be used in  the commission of attacks on civilians or civilian buildings such as schools and  hospitals.

The National Rifle Association has portrayed the draft treaty as a threat to  gun ownership rights enshrined in the U.S. Constitution and has lobbied to  defeat the proposal at the U.N.

The NRA last week praised the Senate’s passage of an amendment to the  Democratic budget proposal that would prevent the U.S. from entering into the  treaty.

The measure, introduced by Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla., passed on a 53-46  vote.

“Thanks to the efforts of Senator Inhofe, we are one step closer to ensuring  the U.N. will not trample on the freedoms our founding fathers guaranteed to  us,” Chris W. Cox, executive director of NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action,  said in a statement released following the vote.

Ammunition has been a key issue, with some countries pressing for the same  controls on ammunition sales as arms, but the U.S. and others opposed such tough  restrictions. The draft calls for each country that ratifies the treaty to  establish regulations for the export of ammunition “fired, launched or  delivered” by the weapons covered by the convention.

The Control Arms coalition, which represents about 100 organizations  worldwide campaigning for a strong treaty, and diplomats from countries that  support them, said this wouldn’t cover hand grenades and mines.

India and other countries had insisted that the treaty have an opt-out for  government arms transfers under defense cooperation agreements. The new text  appears to keep that loophole, stating that implementation of the treaty “shall  not prejudice obligations” under defense cooperation agreements by countries  that ratify the treaty.

“Making this treaty was like making a sausage: Everyone has added an  ingredient,” said Ted Bromund, a senior research fellow at The Heritage  Foundation, a conservative think tank.

“Unfortunately, that has produced a document that leans much too far towards  satisfying the concerns of the Arab Group and Mexico. The former view it as a  rebellion prevention plan, while the latter wants a text that edges towards its  view that the domestic firearms market in the U.S. should be subject to treaty  regulation,” he said.

But Daryl Kimball, executive director of the independent Washington-based  Arms Control Association, said, “The emerging treaty represents an important  first step in dealing with the unregulated and illicit global trade in  conventional weapons and ammunition, which fuels wars and human rights abuses  worldwide.”

He said the text could have been stronger and more comprehensive, but it can  still make an important difference.

“The new treaty says to every United Nations member that you cannot simply  ‘export and forget,’” Kimball said.

In considering whether to authorize the export of arms, the draft says a  country must evaluate whether the weapon would be used to violate international  human rights or humanitarian laws or be used by terrorists or organized crime.  The final draft would allow countries to determine whether the weapons transfer  would contribute to or undermine peace and security.

Anna Macdonald, Oxfam’s head of arms control, said the scope of the weapons  covered in the latest draft is still too narrow.

“We need a treaty that covers all conventional weapons, not just some of  them,” she said. “We need a treaty that will make a difference to the lives of  the people living in Congo, Mali, Syria and elsewhere who suffer each day from  the impacts of armed violence.”

The Associated Press and Reuters contributed to this report.

BHO Administration Plans to “Manhattanize” America and Push us back to the Cities

March 21, 2013 in Agenda 21, Environmental Hoax, President Obama, Redistribution of Wealth, Socialism, United Nations, United States Sovereignty by Admin1

Stanley KurtzFor those of you who are familiar with UN Agenda 21, this new revelation about the Barack Hussein Obama Administration to Manhattanize America by Stanley Kurtz,  will come as no surprise. After all it falls into line with BHO’s plans to  Redistribute Wealth and to UNize America as evidenced by his recent attempts to use the  UN Arms Treaty as an end-around our 2nd Amendment Rights. You will notice the references to Smart Growth, by  Scott Strzelczyk and Richard Rothschild in their The American Thinker  article and Stanley Kurtz in his Megan Kelly video Interview  You should also be aware that the term Smart Growth has become ubiquitous in MA Cities and Towns and in our Planning Departments. From now in when you hear this term, you should

“ Most Americans are unaware that one of the greatest threats to their freedom may be a United Nations program known as Agenda 21. The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, Division for Sustainable Development created Agenda 21 as a sustainability agenda which is arguably an amalgamation of socialism and extreme environmentalism brushed with anti-American, anti-capitalist overtones.A detailed history on sustainable development, definitions, and critical actions can be found here. Section III of the Agenda 21 Plan addresses local community sustainable development.  The Preamble and Chapter 28 discuss how Agenda 21 should be implemented at a local level. The United Nations purposely recommends avoiding the term Agenda 21 and suggests a cleverly named alternative: “smart growth.” The United Nations Millennium Papers – Issue 2 (page 5) says this of Agenda 21 and smart growth:

Participating in a UN-advocated planning process would very likely bring out many of the conspiracy-fixated groups and individuals in our society such as the National Rifle Association, citizen militias and some members of Congress. This segment of our society who fear one-world government’ and a UN invasion of the United States through which our individual freedom would be stripped away would actively work to defeat any elected official who joined the conspiracy’ by undertaking LA21. So, we call our process something else, such as comprehensive planning, growth management, or smart growth [emphasis added]. ”  Read more at: http://www.americanthinker.com/2009/10/un_agenda_21_coming_to_a_neigh.html

Megan Kelly: Well if you live in the suburbs, don’t get too comfy. Our next guest says the Obama administration has plans to push Americans, slowly but surely, out of the burbs and in into the big cities, as a means to quote “spread the wealth around.”  Joining us now is Stanley Kurtz. He is the author of Spreading the Wealth: How Obama is Robbing the Suburbs to Pay for the Cities and this isn’t just based on your book. This claim is based on something you actually saw President Obama and the Administration do last week. Explain it Stan.

Stanley Kurtz: Well that’s right Megan, it looks like President Obama’s plans to fight Global Warming is going to hurt America’s suburbs and that’s because the Obama Administration believes in something called Smart Growth. Now the idea about Smart Growth policies is that you should get out of your car, don’t move to the suburbs you should leave the tiny densely packed apartment building in the city where you would walk in take public transportation don’t drive and that smart growth in the Obama Administration is gearing up to impose these smart growth policies on the country and that would be bad for America Suburbs.

Obama’s Support for UN Gun Treaty Could Fundamentally Change American Gun Laws and Threaten our Second Amendment Rights

2nd Amendment The nine  most terrifying words in the English language are, ‘I’m from the  government and I’m here to help.’

Ronald Reagan Quote on American Government’s Bureaucracy
40th president of US

The nine most reassuring words in the English language are,  I’m from the UN and I’m here to help.

Barack Hussein Obama’s Conviction on Global Government’s Paternity
44th president of US

Obama continues his propaganda Blitzkrieg against America, American values and our Constitution’s Bill of Rights. Whether it’s his lies about  Sequestration, about Fast and Furious, about Benghazi or about UN Treaties. Whether it’s his pitting of men against women, young against old,  poor against rich, or  one race against another,  his narcissist arrogance isn’t phased in the least.

“I mean the fact is the UN doesn’t protect people it doesn’t save the innocent . I mean you can stack to the ceiling the bodies of the innocent [a] thousand times over that the UN has failed to protect.  The dead people don’t get to vote on this UN treaty and Americans don’t want to be added to that pile of dead people that have been left defenseless by the UN policies.”

Wayne LaPierre                                                                                                                                                           Executive Vice-President and chief Executive Officer                                                                                                     National Rifle Association

Leaving nothing to chance, Obama is pursuing a multi-pronged Blitzkrieg against our 2nd Amendment. “While many states are taking steps to expand gun rights, the Federal Government is moving the other way.  President Obama is even using the nation’s premier public health agency to further the agenda.”

Is Agenda 21 an International Conspiracy?

February 18, 2013 in Agenda 21, Climate Change, Global Warming, Redistribution of Wealth, United Nations by Admin1

Capture Is Agenda 21 an International Conspiracy?

The Honourable Ann Bressington  Independent MLC  Member of the Legislative Council) in South Australia, has reached  that undeniable conclusion.

In a segment of her speech captured in the accompanying video, she very adroitly ties together, The Club of Rome, Agenda 21, The Environmental Movement, and a 10 -Region Global World System which could easily extrapolate into a One World Order of Global Governance.

“Ladies and gentlemen the origins of the environmental movement as we see it began back in nineteen sixty eight when the Club of Rome was formed.  The Club of Rome  has been described as a crisis think-tank which specializes in crisis creation. The main purpose  of this think-tank was to formulate a crisis that would unite the  world  and condition us to the idea of global solutions to local problems.  In a document called The First Global Revolution authored by Alexander King and Bertrand Schneider,  on pages one hundred and four and one hundred and five it stated” in searching  for a new enemy to unite us we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like could fit the bill. All these dangers, of course,  will be caused by human intervention that will require a global response.  That’s the origin of global warming ladies and gentlemen. (Coloring and emphasis in the foregoing paragraph added by Mass Tea Party)

The Club of Rome published their initial rendering of  the 10-Global Regions as follows:

“On 17, September, 1973, the Club of Rome published a report entitled the “Regionalized and Adaptive Model of the Global World System“, which was authored by Eduard Pestel and Mihajlo Mesarovic. The report revealed the Club’s intention to divide the world into ten economic/political regions, called “Kingdoms”, which would unite the entire world under a common leadership. These regions are:

  • North America
  • Western Europe
  • Japan
  • Australia and South Africa
  • Eastern Europe
  • Latin America
  • North Africa and the Middle East
  • Main Africa
  • South and Southeast Asia
  • Centrally Planned Asia

Club of Rome 10 Kingdoms

the Club of Rome planned to divide the entire world into ten economic/political regions, which it refers to as ‘kingdoms’

The term “Kingdoms” was left out, when the plan was released in a book entitled “Mankind at the Turning Point“, which stated that the solutions to the problems of the world could only “be developed in a global context.”

The Obama Administration Continues Its Capitalization of Rahm Emanuel’s Dictum

January 9, 2013 in 2nd Amendment, Abuse of Power, America's Collapse, Anarchy, Constitutional, DICTATORSHIP, Liberty in Jeopardy, National Security, Obamanation, Political Deception, President Obama, The Grand Deception, United Nations, United States Sovereignty by Admin1

It goes without saying that all Americans were appalled and grief stricken by the slaughter of 20 first-graders and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary School, in Newtown CT.

“Although Obama claims to be an advocate for the 2nd Amendment, his voting record in the Illinois Senate paints a very different picture. While a state senator, Obama voted for a bill that would ban nearly every hunting rifle, shotgun and target rifle owned by Illinois citizens. That same bill would authorize the state police to raid homes of gun owners to forcibly confiscate banned guns.”

Last July, long before Newtown, Barack Hussein Obama strategically allowed his UN Gun Control talks to flounder because he was in the mist of his re-election bid. However shortly after his re-elected on November 7th,  he immediately backed a U.N. committee’s call to renew debate over a draft international treaty to regulate arms.

The UN treaty would have  still faced an uphill battle in the Democrat controlled Senate.  As tragic as Newtown is, Barack immediately recalled Rahm Emanuels dictum,  “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. And what I mean by that is an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”

And now Biden and Obama are threatening to control our 2nd Amendment by an illegal Executive order:

The following exchange took place yesterday between Bill O’Reilly and Charles Krauthammer:

BILL O’REILLY: Why does the president want to downsize the Pentagon, the defense department? Why does he want to do that?

CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: Because Obama has this ideological vision of America as a super power too big for its britches. And it’s a power that is thrown itself around the world. He talked about it in his initial tour of the world. And that it does not sort of have the moral standing to be the great power it was, intervening as it was, choosing where and when. And he wants to cut it down to size.

We are not dealing with an American Patriot but rather an ideologue  who has been indoctrinated and influenced by  such people as communist card carrying Frank Marshall Davis (membership card number 47544),   Edward “Buzz” and Alice Palmer,  longtime agents for the Soviet Union, Reverend Wright along with a host of other anti-American people, institutions and organizations.

Terresa Monroe-Hamilton writes in Home of the Enslaved  on Trevor Loudon’s New Zeal Blog’s Noisy Room that, “According to  Fox News and Mark Levin, the way both sides dealt with the fiscal cliff is a big step towards conflict and they are right as well. Just what does everyone think will happen when food stamps, social security, disability, pensions etc. stop, because there is no more money or money is worthless due to hyperinflation from printing? What do they think will happen when the government moves to confiscate our guns? (You think this is about protecting “the children?” Dream on.) It won’t be pretty in either scenario. Taxes, brought on the Declaration of Independence. The seizure of arms, sparked the American Revolution.

So there you have it. Obama is setting up America for a massive economic crash the likes of which will make the Great depression of 1929 seem like a cakewalk.  He has nominated Chuck Hagel to preside over the collapse of our military that will  complete the job that Leon Panetta began.  John Kerry has been nominated to pursue our further alligence and domination bythe  United Nations  and to complete our dimlomatic demise as a world leader.

Our enormous debt collapse will indeed result in our children and grandchildren becoming indentured serfs.  But we will not escape either.  When the economic collapse occurs within the next 5 years ,  there will be insurrection in our streets and we will be in the mist of it.

Glenn Beck Pens a New Book on the Dangers and Consequences of UN Agenda 21

November 21, 2012 in Agenda 21, Energy, Environment, Glenn Beck, Government, Liberty, United Nations by Admin1

Forewarned is forearmed

Those who follow Glenn Beck might be aware that Tuesday November 20th marked the release of his latest book, “Agenda 21,” the suspenseful and perhaps sobering tale of a futuristic America in which a UN-led program spawned an authoritarian state where individuals are stripped of all personal rights and freedoms. Oddly, Beck’s novel is not simply a work of fiction, but based on an actual program created by the United Nations by the very same name — “Agenda 21″ — which, according to the UN’s own website, is a “comprehensive plan of action to be taken globally, nationally and locally by organizations of the United Nations system, governments and major groups, in every area in which human impacts on the environment.” In so many words, the United Nations seeks to co-opt, via individual governments, and eventually, a “one-world government,” privately held land under the auspices of ensuring its “sustainability.” Worse still, the UN’s Agenda 21 has even laid out plans for “depopulation” or rather, “population control.” If it sounds like something out of George Orwell’s 1984, that is because Agenda 21′s tenets are eerily in line with the demented alternate reality Orwell himself had imagined while scribing the pages of his famed novel. “Sustainable development” is the catch-phrase Beck urged his Monday evening viewers to be leery of. Where one can live and what land should be designated for would, under fully-realized Agenda 21 plan, be controlled by the United Nations and a future one-world government. Consider the following section from the UN website on Agenda 21′s plan for “promoting sustainable human settlement development.” Emphasis added:

United Nation ( Maybe From pakistan) To Go To Texas Other State To Tell Them How To Vote! Call Your Gov & Tell Them No!!! US sovereignty At Risk – United Nations To Monitors United States Election and To Be Placed At Polling Stations Around The U.S.

United Nations-affiliated election monitors from Europe and central Asia will be at polling places around the U.S. looking for voter suppression activities by conservative groups, a concern raised by civil rights groups during a meeting this week. The intervention has drawn criticism from a prominent conservative-leaning group combating election fraud.

The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), a United Nations partner on democratization and human rights projects, will deploy 44 observers around the county on Election Day to monitor an array of activities, including potential disputes at polling places.   Liberal-leaning civil rights groups met with representatives from the OSCE this week to raise their fears about what they say are systematic efforts to suppress minority voters likely to vote for President Obama.   The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, the NAACP and the ACLU, among other groups, warned this month in a letter to Daan Everts, a senior official with OSCE, of “a coordinated political effort to disenfranchise millions of Americans — particularly traditionally disenfranchised groups like minorities.”

“Leave It Blank” and all other resistance to Senator Brown, regarding U.N. Treaties, is formally and indefinitely suspended!

October 18, 2012 in Politics, Senate, Senator Scott Brown, United Nations, United States Constitution, US Sovereignty by carlos

For Immediate Release:

“Leave It Blank” and all other resistance to Senator Brown, regarding U.N. Treaties, is formally and indefinitely suspended!

This comes after an official statement from Senator Brown’s office that; “Due to the economic disaster of the “fiscal cliff” and other extremely urgent budget issues facing the Congress, Senator Brown will not allow any cloture votes on any U.N. Treaties or social issues during the “lame duck session”. Further comments from his legislative staff detailed the Senator’s commitment to focusing his full attention to working on the budget, taxes, and spending controls to assure, to the best of his ability, that these issues are resolved above all others.

As strong fiscal and social conservatives, in a very liberal state, we will not always agree 100% with Senator Brown, as he tries to represent all the people of Massachusetts, but we should all be able to agree with this official statement and place our 100% support behind Scott Brown in this very difficult race.

Opposing points of view from intelligent people.

You scare me because you falsely believe that you are both
Omnipotent and omniscient.

You do.

Petition to Senator Brown Regarding UN Treaties

August 16, 2012 in Homeland Security, Net Neutrality, Patriotism, President Obama, Scott Brown, Senator Scott Brown, Treaties, United Nations, United States Sovereignty by carlos

Obama’s Sneaky Treaties

By Dick Morris on February 8, 2012

Published on TheHill.com on February 7, 2012

President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are entering negotiations over — or seeking ratification of — five treaties that could radically limit our national sovereignty and the reach of our democratic institutions. Particularly scary is that the treaties, once signed and ratified, have the same status as constitutional law and cannot be altered or eclipsed by Congress or state legislatures. And their provisions must be enforced by U.S. courts.

Those who wish to preserve our sovereignty and democratic control over our future must rally to block these treaties, either by pressing Obama and Clinton not to sign them or by blocking their ratification.

Call Your Senators and tell them to vote NO!

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++• International Criminal Court — Clinton has reversed George W. Bush’s policy and entered into negotiations over U.S. participation in the court. Specifically, the leftists who are sponsoring the court wish to create a new crime of “aggression,” which is essentially going to war without the approval of the United Nations. If we submit to the court’s jurisdiction, our presidents and Cabinet officials could be prosecuted criminally for going to war without U.N. approval. This would, of course, give Russia and China a veto over our military actions. Clinton says she will stop our military’s hands from being tied, but we all must realize that once we accept the International Criminal Court, we go down a slippery slope. The court could even prosecute Americans who have been cleared by our own judicial system.

The Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST) has been signed, and the Obama administration — with the aid of RINO Sen. Richard Lugar (Ind.) — will push for its ratification as soon as Lugar’s primary in Indiana is over this year. LOST requires that the United States pay an international body half of its royalties from offshore drilling. The body would then distribute the funds as it sees fit to whichever nations it chooses. The United States would only have one vote out of 160 regarding where the money goes. LOST will also oblige us to hand over our offshore drilling technology to any nation that wants it … for free. Our own Senator Kerry is leading the charge for this treaty on behalf of the Obama Administration! Senator Kerry has held hearings on the Treaty and allowed 16 People to testify in favor of the treat and only 2 people to testify against the treaty. He is playing hardball, perhaps he is seeking favor to lock in his next venue as part of the Obama Administration, should they prevail in November! The word on the street from reliable sources is that Republican Senators who face an election in November have told Senator Kerry that if the treaty is brought up for a vote before November 6th hey would have to vote nay, but after they would vote yea! Ala Obama to Russia’s President Medvedev on an open mic.

President Obama: “On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved but it’s important for him to give me space.

President Medvedev:” Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you…

President Obama: “This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.”

President Medvedev: “I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir.”

The American public is being played once again!!!

We must vet our Senators including Senator Brown before the election. After the election will be too late!

Small-arms control Clinton is about to negotiate on a global ban on export of small arms. It would only apply to private citizens but, of course, most small-arms deals come not from individuals or private firms but from governments, specifically those of the United States, Russia, China and Israel. The treaty would require each nation to adopt measures to stop exportation of small arms. It is easy to see how this could be a backdoor way to require national registration of all guns and to assert federal regulation over firearms. It would also require the registration of all ammunition to track its source once a gun is fired. The Second Amendment be damned!

Senator Kerry: CALLED 7/23 BUT WILL NOT SAY
Senator Brown: Called 7/23 – Will not support Treaty

Outer Space Code of Conduct — Under the guise of stopping debris from accumulating in outer space, the European Union has enlisted Clinton in negotiations over a code of conduct. The code would prohibit activities that are likely to generate debris in outer space — space littering. The code might inhibit or prohibit the United States from deploying anti-missile missiles on platforms in space, denying us the key weapon we need to counter Iranian, Chinese and North Korean missile threats. European leftists reacted angrily when G.W. Bush opted out of the ABM treaty banning defensive weapons. Now they seek to reimpose it under the guise of a code of conduct.

Rights of the Child — Even more fanciful is a treaty Clinton plans to negotiate setting forth a code of rights for children, to be administered by a 14-member court set up for the purpose. The draft treaty obliges rich nations to provide funds for shelter, food, clothing and education for children in poor nations. This provision could create grounds to litigate to challenge the level of foreign aid we give as inadequate to meet our treaty obligations. Already, leftists in the United Kingdom are using the treaty to attack welfare cuts by the Cameron government.

CONVENTION on the RIGHTS of PERSONS with DISABILITIES

Trick or Treaty

Our very own SENATOR KERRY once again is advocating for “…the global community[which] could force America to sanction sterilization or abortion for the disabled–at taxpayer expense! Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) tried to neutralize the threat yesterday during the mark-up in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Unfortunately, his amendment (which would have stopped the treaty from forcing abortion policy on countries that sign) was thwarted by Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.)

It’s the latest threat to parents’ rights that no one knows about–and yesterday, the Senate moved one step closer to making it the law of the land. Like most U.N. treaties, this one sounds harmless enough. But make no mistake–its innocuous name, Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), masks a cunning attack on parental authority, unborn life, and U.S. sovereignty. Of course, this is a favorite strategy of liberal administrations: using treaties to get radical policies through the country’s backdoor. In this instance, it would bring our nation even closer to President Obama’s apparent goal of putting America under global governance.

As Phyllis Schafly points out, the U.S. already enacted the strongest piece of disabilities legislation in the world. This idea that the U.N. “can provide more benefits or protections for persons with disabilities than the U.S. is bizarre,” she writes in an excellent column that debunks the need for such a treaty. “The United States always treats individuals, able or disabled, rich or poor, innocent or guilty, better than any nation.” Democrats argue that it would help the rest of the world “catch up” to our standards. But, as Sen. Jim DeMint and others have made clear, the U.S. doesn’t need to sign away its rights to provide leadership in that area.

While this is a noble cause that embodies the American ethic–treating people with dignity and respect–it gives the U.N. a profound stake in U.S. law and the rights of people across the country. Specifically, the CRPD takes aim at parents, declaring that an international body–not moms and dads–will be the ultimate authority on issues like education. The treaty slips in phrases like “best interest of the child,” which, as Sen. Rick Santorum pointed out with me on last week’s radio show, are “red alert alarm words.” They mean that government officials or courts will be in the position of deciding what’s in your child’s best interest–not you. Under CRPD, the government would supersede parents in setting course plans for both gifted and special needs kids. The Homeschool Legal Defense Association is concerned–and rightly so. It maintains that this Convention signals a dramatic turnaround in parental rights.

And, of course, it wouldn’t be a U.N. proposal if it didn’t include a backdoor to greater abortion access. “The feminists saw to it that this treaty about disabilities includes language in Article 25 that requires signatories to ‘provide persons with disabilities… free or affordable health care,” Phyllis notes, “including in the area of sexual and reproductive health and population-based health programs.’” Translation: the global community could force America to sanction sterilization or abortion for the disabled–at taxpayer expense! John Kerry (D-Mass.) after a debate that you can watch here:

" target="_blank">

Although Sen. DeMint managed to delay the CRPD a week, the Committee, including three of its Republicans–Sens. John Barrasso (Wy.), Richard Lugar (Ind.), Johnny Isakson (Ga.)–voted yesterday to send the treaty to the Senate floor, where it could be ratified as early as next week. Between now and then, it is absolutely critical for people to see that what’s at stake in this debate, which is nothing short of our authority as parents–and as a nation. By law, the Convention will need 67 votes to pass, which means we need to persuade at least 34 senators to defeat it. Contact your senators today and urge them to vote down this deadly infringement on U.S. sovereignty. Your rights depend on it.

Senator Kerry: Is in Favor of this Treaty

Word on the street from reliable sources is that Our Senator Kerry will attempt to push this Treaty thru the Senate in early September as soon as they return to Washington. Our Senator believes that he has the votes to sneak it through while everyone is preoccupied with the election and children returing to school.

The fact of the matter is that this treaty would not benefit a single American!

How diplomacy is bringing an Iran war closer – Iran Near Zone Of Immunity!!

August 10, 2012 in Diplomacy, Iran's Nuclear Threat, Israel, Politics, President Obama, United Nations by Admin1

Bumbling US and UN diplomatic policy towards Iran’s Nuclear Weapons Program all but insures a breakout of war in the Middle East. The US policy, parallels Chamberlain’s  WWII Diplomatic Debacle with Hitler.

Obama’s policy of not agreeing to provide diplomatic cover for an Israeli Raid on Iran’s Nuclear facilities during the last two years, may prove to be a blunder of Gargantuan proportions.

Iran prepares for 60 percent uranium enrichment

DEBKAfile Exclusive Report August 3, 2012, 10:07 AM (GMT+02:00)

Model of a fortified Iranian nuclear site
Model of a fortified Iranian nuclear site

The months of negotiations with the six world powers were happily used by Iran for great strides toward bringing its nuclear weapon program to fruition. Tehran’s back-channel dialogue with Washington leading up to the negotiations served the same purpose. Since diplomacy ran aground, war has become inevitable and preparations for cutting short Iran’s rapid progress have accelerated.

Former Israeli Mossad director Ephraim Halevi commented to the New York Times Thursday, Aug. 2, that if he was an Iranian he would be very worried in the next 12 weeks.
Developments in Iran and the region at large are generating the current eve-of-war climate in the Middle East:

1. While Saeed Jalili communed at leisure with Catherine Ashton in world capitals, uranium enrichment levels in Iran crept past 20 percent in expanded quantities. The six powers are understandably reluctant to admit that in the time bought by negotiations, Iran was able to refine uranium up to 30-percent grade or even a higher and go into advanced preparations for 65 percent grade enrichment. Now the Iranians are well on the way to an 80-90 percent weapons grade.
The talk in Tehran about the need for nuclear-powered ships and submarines offered a fictitious pretext for crossing that threshold. Iran is not about to build those vessels or engines for lack of technology, materials and infrastructure. But nuclear-powered ships’ engines require the same highly-enriched uranium (90 percent) as bombs.

2.  Iran has launched a crash mega-fortification program for sheathing in steel and concrete nuclear facilities whose transfer to underground “immune zones” for escaping bombardment would be too costly, cumbersome and time consuming.
If the US and Israel leaves Iran alone to complete this project, they will have forfeited the opportunity of pre-empting Iran’s nuclear program – only inflicting partial and temporary damage at best.
3.  President Barack Obama is under very heavy pressure from Saudi Arabia and other Gulf oil states to waste no more time and destroy that program without further shilly-shallying.
4.  Riyadh, Doha and Abu Dhabi tried to achieve that objective indirectly by massively backing the Syrian revolt against Tehran’s best friend Bashar Assad in the hope that his fall would stop the Iranians in their tracks. They never came close: Assad is still fighting tenaciously and his army is in intact after 17 months.

5.  Instead of capitulating to the odds against the Syrian ruler, Tehran increased its military stake in Assad’s battles.
DEBKAfile’s military sources say that without Iran’s lavish and timely air and ground supply corridors, the Syrian army would have long since run out of arms for defending the Assad regime against revolt.
The Gulf governments are therefore forced to accept that their plans to weaken Iran by toppling Assad have backfired in more ways than one.
6.   Turkey and Iraq, each for its own reasons, are letting Iranian arms pass through their territories to Damascus, a move which is counter-productive to Gulf interests on the Middle East keyboard. Ankara, in particular, hosts rebel command centers and training camps with one hand, while, with the other, lets arms shipments through to Assad’s army for destroying those same rebels the moment the cross into Syria.
7. UN, American and European sanctions have failed to drive Tehran into giving up its nuclear program, as even the White House admitted Wednesday, Aug. 1, or slowed down its development of ballistic missiles capable of delivering nuclear warheads.

8. US and Israeli intelligence experts agree that Iran will be able to produce dirty bomb within three months, ready to hand out to the terrorist networks run by the Revolutionary Guards external clandestine arm, the Al Quds Brigades. They are designed for use in time of war against Israelis abroad and Americans in the Persian Gulf and Middle East. Israel fears the radioactive bombs will find their way to Tehran’s surrogates, the Lebanese Hizballah or the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

9. Those experts also agree that the Tehran-sponsored terrorist campaign against Israel has already begun. Launched by Hizballah or the Al Quds Brigades, it is expected to gain impetus.  The July 18 attack in the Bulgarian town of Burgas, in which five Israelis and a Bulgarian were killed, is seen as the precursor of more attacks whose dimensions will expand in a way that forces Israel to retaliate.

Oregon Man Sentenced to 30 Days in Jail — for Collecting Rainwater on His Property

July 28, 2012 in Agenda 21, Freedom, United Nations by carlos

(CNSNews.com) – A rural Oregon man was sentenced Wednesday to 30 days in jail and over $1,500 in fines because he had three reservoirs on his property to collect and use rainwater.

Gary Harrington of Eagle Point, Ore., says he plans to appeal his conviction in Jackson County (Ore.) Circuit Court on nine misdemeanor charges under a 1925 law for having what state water managers called “three illegal reservoirs” on his property – and for filling the reservoirs with rainwater and snow runoff.

“The government is bullying,” Harrington told CNSNews.com in an interview Thursday.

U.N. Arms Treaty Fail For Now!

UN fails to reach deal on global arms trade treaty, as US asks for more time

Published July 27, 2012 FoxNews.com

UNITED NATIONS –  U.N. member states have failed to reach agreement on a new treaty to regulate the multibillion-dollar global arms trade.   Some diplomats and treaty supporters blamed the United States for triggering the unraveling of the month-long negotiating conference.

Hopes had been raised that agreement could be reached on a revised treaty text that closed some key loopholes by Friday’s deadline for action. But the United States announced Friday morning that it needed more time to consider the proposed treaty — and Russia and China then also asked for more time.   A bipartisan group of 51 U.S. senators on Thursday had threatened to oppose the global treaty regulating international weapons trade if it falls short in protecting the constitutional right to bear arms.   In a letter to President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the senators expressed serious concerns with the draft treaty that has circulated at the United Nations, saying that it signals an expansion of gun control that would be unacceptable.   The Constitution’s Second Amendment offers broad protection for weapons ownership by civilians. As recently as 2008, the Supreme Court affirmed it when it struck down a ban on handguns in the District of Columbia, ruling that individuals have a constitutional right to keep guns for self-defense and other purposes.   The court also has ruled separately that treaty obligations may not infringe on individual constitutional protections and rights within U.S. borders. This goes back at least to a 1920 ruling that a migratory bird treaty with Canada, which prohibited the hunting or capturing of certain birds, was an unconstitutional interference with states’ rights under the 10th Amendment.   Treaties are government-to-government agreements and do not subject citizens of one nation to laws of another or to those of an outside body.   Also, the U.N. resolution that authorized drafting of the small arms treaty recognizes the clear-cut right of nations “to regulate internal transfers of arms” and says nothing in the treaty that emerges will affect “constitutional protections on private ownership” of firearms.   Beyond that, there are many court rulings spelling out the limits of treaties. And if an act of Congress is inconsistent with a treaty obligation, the law passed by Congress prevails. Legal scholars say this has been well established.     The U.N. General Assembly voted in December 2006 to work toward a treaty regulating the growing arms trade, with the U.S. casting a “no” vote. In October 2009, the Obama administration reversed the Bush administration’s position and supported an assembly resolution to hold four preparatory meetings and a four-week U.N. conference in 2012 to draft an arms trade treaty.     The United States insisted that a treaty had to be approved by the consensus of all 193 U.N. member states.     Ambassador Roberto Garcia Moritan, the conference chairman, said treaty supporters knew “this was going to be difficult to achieve” and there were some delegations that didn’t like the draft though “the overwhelming majority in the room did.” He added that some countries from the beginning of negotiations had “different views” on a treaty, including Syria, Iran and North Korea.     Despite the failure to reach agreement, Moritan predicted that “we certainly are going to have a treaty in 2012.”     He said there are several options for moving forward in the General Assembly which will be considered over the summer, before the world body’s new session begins in September.     Britain has taken the lead in pushing for a treaty to reduce the impact of the illicit arms trade.     Ahead of Friday’s meeting, Britain’s Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg discussed treaty prospects with U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon in London and told reporters and both urged the treaty’s adoption.     “Global rules govern the sale of everything from bananas to endangered species to weapons of mass destruction, but not guns or grenades,” Clegg said. “This anomaly causes untold suffering in conflicts around the world. 1,000 people are killed daily by small arms wielded by terrorists, insurgents and criminal gangs.”     The secretary-general said he was disappointed at the failure to agree on a treaty, calling it “a setback.” But he said he was encouraged that states have agreed to continue pursuing a treaty and pledged his “robust” support.     At the end of the negotiating session, Mexico read a joint statement from more than 90 countries saying they “are determined to secure an Arms Trade Treaty as soon as possible.”

Is Obama in league with Satan?

Has an Obama gaffe finally revealed his innermost contempt for America, our Constitution and our traditional institutions? A contempt so deep and so villainous to American Principles and Values that he had to keep it concealed from public view. Hidden lest his villainous ideology be exposed and ruin his wicked plan to destroy America’s most cherished constitutional, social and economic institutions. Every once and a while those seers of our American culture would get a glimpse of his veiled intent and would alert our populous who either would not or could not believe that an American President could be capable of such infamous deeds. Then last Monday night while speaking at a fundraiser in Oakland last, Obama momentarily removed his superficial cloak as he told a mob of supporters that, “Just like we’ve tried their plan, we’ve tried our plan, and it worked. That’s the difference. That’s the choice in this election. That’s why I’m running for a second term.” He thereby, perhaps unconsciously, revealed his ongoing plan to subvert and destroy America.

Gun Ownership Mandatory In Kennesaw, Georgia
 Crime Rate Plummets

by Chuck Baldwin

The New American magazine reminds us that March 25th marked the 16th anniversary of Kennesaw, Georgia’s ordinance requiring heads of households (with certain exceptions) to keep at least one firearm in their homes.

The city’s population grew from around 5,000 in 1980 to 13,000 by 1996 (latest available estimate). Yet there have been only three murders: two with knives (1984 and 1987) and one with a firearm (1997). After the law went into effect in 1982, crime against persons plummeted 74 percent compared to 1981, and fell another 45 percent in 1983 compared to 1982.

And it has stayed impressively low. In addition to nearly non-existent homicide (murders have averaged a mere 0.19 per year), the annual number of armed robberies, residential burglaries, commercial burglaries, and rapes have averaged, respectively, 1.69, 31.63, 19.75, and 2.00 through 1998.

With all the attention that has been heaped upon the lawful possession of firearms lately, you would think that a city that requires gun ownership would be the center of a media feeding frenzy. It isn’t. The fact is I can’t remember a major media outlet even mentioning Kennesaw. Can you?

The reason is obvious. Kennesaw proves that the presence of firearms actually improves safety and security. This is not the message that the media want us to hear. They want us to believe that guns are evil and are the cause of violence.

The facts tell a different story. What is even more interesting about Kennesaw is that the city’s crime rate decreased with the simple knowledge that the entire community was armed. The bad guys didn’t force the residents to prove it. Just knowing that residents were armed prompted them to move on to easier targets. Most criminals don’t have a death wish.

There have been two occasions in my own family when the presence of a handgun averted potential disaster. In both instances the gun was never aimed at a person and no shot was fired.

German Tree Ring Study Conclusively Proves that our World was Much Warmer 2000 Years Ago

July 23, 2012 in Agenda 21, America's Collapse, Anarchy, Election, Environment, Hillary Clinton, Jobs, President Obama, Treaties, United Nations, US Sovereignty by Admin1

Global Waming and Global Climate Change hoax

You probably haven’t heard or viewed any information regarding this study from the Lame Stream Media,  that German research, once and for all conclusively proves,  that Global Warming and our Governments conclusion that it is caused by Carbon Dioxide is a Hoax!

It also casts our ‘…EPA’s Declaration of Carbon Dioxide as a Pollutant” as irrational, irresponsible and obviously politically motivated. To add insult to injury, our courts have  ruled in favor of the EPA’s onerous Carbon Dioxide regulations that  have either made businesses non competitive or closed them down entirely.

Al Gore who has become a Billionaire from the Carbon Credits scheme, along with Barack Hussein Obama have used Credits to further their globalist agenda (Obama’s Solyndra debacle) and as payoffs to their connected political Class (Harry Reid’s Amonix Facility in Las Vegas)

What is the purpose for imposing  United Nations   Global Warming and Now Global Climate Change, you may ask. A Human Events article published on 10/27/2009 by Chuck Norris titled OBAMA’S ONE-WORLD GOCERNMENT, I believe,  holds the answer.  The article discusses the upcoming December 2009  global climate change conference in Copenhagen, the “United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.”  Christopher Monckton, who was a science policy adviser to Margaret Thatcher States:

“I have read that treaty,” Monckton said, “and what it says is this: that a One World Government is going to be created

A World Government that will subjugate US Sovereignty to the United Nations. President Obama along with Hillary Clinton will sign The Law of the Sea Treaty on July 27th. This is the first of 5 UN Treaties that they hope will begin the process of global Governance and the end to US Sovereignty!

How did the Romans grow grapes in northern England? Perhaps because it was warmer than we thought.

A study suggests the Britain of 2,000 years ago experienced a lengthy period of hotter summers than today.

German researchers used data from tree rings – a key indicator of past climate – to claim the world has been on a ‘long-term cooling trend’ for two millennia until the global warming of the twentieth century.

This cooling was punctuated by a couple of warm spells.

These are the Medieval Warm Period, which is well known, but also a period during the toga-wearing Roman times when temperatures were apparently 1 deg C warmer than now.

They say the very warm period during the years 21 to 50AD has been underestimated by climate scientists.

Lead author Professor Dr Jan Esper of Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz said: ‘We found that previous estimates of historical temperatures during the Roman era and the Middle Ages were too low.

‘This figure we calculated may not seem particularly significant, however it is not negligible when compared to global warming, which up to now has been less than 1 deg C.’

In general the scientists found a slow cooling of 0.6C over 2,000 years, which they attributed to changes in the Earth’s orbit which took it further away from the Sun.

The study is published in Nature Climate Change.

It is based on measurements stretching back to 138BC.

The finding may force scientists to rethink current theories of the impact of global warming

Professor Esper’s group at the Institute of Geography at JGU used tree-ring density measurements from sub-fossil pine trees originating from Finnish Lapland to produce a reconstruction reaching back to 138 BC.

In so doing, the researchers have been able for the first time to precisely demonstrate that the long-term trend over the past two millennia has been towards climatic cooling.

Professor Esper said: ‘Such findings are also significant with regard to climate policy, as they will influence the way today’s climate changes are seen in context of historical warm periods.’

The annual growth rings in trees are the most important witnesses over the past 1,000 to 2,000 years as they indicate how warm and cool past climate conditions were.

Researchers from Germany, Finland, Scotland, and Switzerland examined tree-ring density profiles.

In the cold environment of Finnish Lapland, trees often collapse into one of the numerous lakes, where they remain well preserved for thousands of years.

The density measurements correlate closely with the summer temperatures in this area on the edge of the Nordic taiga; the researchers were thus able to create a temperature reconstruction of unprecedented quality.

The reconstruction provides a high-resolution representation of temperature patterns in the Roman and Medieval Warm periods, but also shows the cold phases that occurred during the Migration Period and the later Little Ice Age.

In addition to the cold and warm phases, the new climate curve also exhibits a phenomenon that was not expected in this form.

How To Beat UN Gun Control
By DICK MORRIS
Published on DickMorris.com on July 19, 2012

As we face the prospect that Hillary Clinton will sign the Arms Trade Treaty, establishing first-ever UN gun controls, those of us who believe in the Second Amendment need to gear up for a tough battle this fall.

But there is a good prospect of victory.

We have to realize that once the ink is dry on Hillary’s signature, there are only two ways to beat the Treaty and its threat of UN imposed gun control – take back the Senate or beat Obama.

The fact that the NRA has succeeded in getting fifty-eight Senators to sign on opposing the Treaty is irrelevant.  If Harry Reid won’t bring it up on the floor, it won’t get a vote.  And, in the absence of Senate disapproval or a renunciation by the president, the United States is bound by the Treaty under the provisions of the Vienna Convention which we have both signed and ratified.

Nor will the Second Amendment offer us any protection.  The Supremacy Clause in our own Constitution provides that treaties are the “law of the land” akin to a constitutional provision.

The answer is to beat Obama and give the Republicans a majority in the Senate.  Either will suffice to kill the Treaty.  A Republican majority leader would certainly bring the Treaty up for a vote and it would certainly be defeated, ending its power over the U.S. and a President Romney will doubtless renounce the Treaty on taking office.

Voting for anti-gun control Democratic candidates for Senate won’t work. Their leader would refuse to bring the Treaty up for a vote, regardless of how his members felt.

We know that Obama is frightened to death of the gun issue.  While he said, famously, that bitter people “cling to their religion and their guns,” in the 2008 election, he hasn’t touched the issue since.  In his avalanche of liberal proposals concerning spending, taxes, health care, labor relations, the environment, and energy, he has proposed no added gun controls.

So we need to realize that this Treaty is a declaration of war against the Second Amendment and we need to step up and battle.  We have got to make gun control the issue that tips swing states like Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, Missouri, Iowa, and Colorado into the Republican column on Election Day.  Now there is no way to save our right to bear arms other than to win the election.

Back Door Gun Control – Dick Morris: Hillary Trying to pull a Fast one!!!

Back Door Gun Control – Dick Morris: Hillary Trying to pull a Fast one!!!

58 Senators oppose the Gun Control Treaty.
But Obama and Hillary are still going to implement the Treaty.

Obama & Hillary will sign the United Nations Gun Control Treaty on July 27th.Under the Vienna Convention once a treaty is signed it binds the signing nation to the treaty so that implementation can immediately begin. Under  our Constitution either the President must reject the Treaty or the Senate must reject the treaty, in order  to invalidate it.

Harry Reid will never bring it up for a Vote in the Senate & Obama if Re-elected will Never Renounce it .Therefore , there is no legal way to stop the Treaty’s implementation .

Since under our Constitution’s Supremacy Clause, a Treaty has the Force of a Constitutional Amendment, Obama Can and Will begin its implementation.

US Arms Trade Treaty: UN appoints Iran to key role in negotiating away your 2nd Amendment rights

BCNews note: Iran? Are you for real? Iran, with their lifelong stellar record on human rights has been put in charge of treaty enforcement that could eventually lead to us losing our guns and right to own them? Really? Is this the same UN that the Chamber of Commerce created several years ago? I’m sitting here with my tounge hanging out wandering what in the heck is going on? Why is the UN anywhere near our border with this bull?

Then I think again and it astounds me that we still give the Chamber of Commerce so much credibility in light of their Frankenstein type creation! Did anyone, even the Chamber think that they could create such an animal with such fangs. Then I think well everything the Chamber of Commerce does somehow points right back to the United Nations as if by design, as if they were trying to take over the world and replace her with some type of alternative plan. A plan so deviant even our neighbors couldn’t blame on the Chamber!

Where does it stop? When does someone say enough is enough? When does some brave soul say the UN has no right in our country so get the hades out!

Do we hand our guns over to a foreign entity at the behest of the Chamber that is in every community in the US and seemingly and well disguised as red white and blue as apple pie? Some are saying even if our senate repels this treaty our “gun info” will still be in the hands of the UN for global monitoring! Folks, better wake up! I have been told many times by many people “by golly if they come after my guns, then I’m gonna get mad” well, they are after your guns and will be real close to getting them as soon a July 27th, 2012.

Our two Senators in Tennessee Alexander and Corker cant seem to give anyone a straight answer when asked if they are going to vote on it or not! Senators this is a no brainer! This is the gem in the crown that keeps our nation and it’s people free! This is our second amendment rights! Please! What is so difficult about this.

A United Nations treaty on the trade of conventional arms could give enemies of the U.S. access to the records of American gun owners, say critics. (AP)
UNITED NATIONS – A treaty being hammered out this month at the United Nations — with Iran playing a key role — could expose the records of America’s gun owners to foreign governments — and, critics warn, eventually put the Second Amendment on global trial.

International talks in New York are going on throughout July on the final wording of the so-called Arms Trade Treaty, which supporters such as Amnesty International USA say would rein in unregulated weapons that kill an estimated 1,500 people daily around the world. But critics, including the National Rifle Association’s Wayne LaPierre, warn the treaty would mark a major step toward the eventual erosion of the U.S. Constitution’s Second Amendment gun-ownership rights.

Americans “just don’t want the UN to be acting as a global nanny with a global permission slip stating whether they can own a gun or not,” LaPierre said. “It cheapens our rights as American citizens, and weakens our sovereignty,” he warned in an exclusive interview with FoxNews.com from the halls of the UN negotiating chambers.

The world body has already been criticized for appointing Iran to a key role in the talks, even as Tehran stands accused by the UN of arming Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s bloody crackdown on rebels. The Obama administration in 2009 reversed Bush administration policy by agreeing to take part in the talks. But in another exclusive interview with FoxNews.com, the top government official on the issue under President Bush says he’s seen nothing new to convince him the U.S. should be at the table today.

While the treaty’s details are still under discussion, the document could straitjacket U.S. foreign policy to the point where Washington could be restricted from helping arm friends such as Taiwan and Israel, said Greg Suchan, Deputy Assistant Secretary in the State Department’s Bureau of Political-Military Affairs from 2000 to 2007.

Suchan also highlighted ongoing concern that the treaty may end up giving foreigners access to U.S. gun-ownership records.

On that score, LaPierre, who serves as NRA executive vice president, warns that the “UN’s refusal” to remove civilian firearms and ammunition from the scope of the treaty amounts to a declaration that only governments should be gun owners.

But he revealed he was set Wednesday to tell the UN gathering that 58 U.S. senators had signed a letter saying that they would refuse to ratify any treaty that includes controls over civilian guns or ammunition.

Ratification by two-thirds of the Senate is necessary before an international treaty negotiated by the executive branch can become U.S. law. But the treaty could still go into effect elsewhere once 65 countries ratify it. Such a development could change the pattern of world arms transfers and reduce the U.S. share, which stands at about 40 percent of up to $60 billion in global deals.

The Bush administration opposed a 2006 UN General Assembly resolution launching the treaty process, but President Obama decided the U.S. would take part on condition the final agreement be reached by consensus — thereby giving any of the 193 participating states an effective veto.

The safeguard is insufficient for opponents of the U.S. participation, not least because UN talks invariably involve compromise.

“The administration swears they have a whole bunch of red lines, and they will block consensus if anyone crosses them,” said Suchan, now a government relations consultant as senior associate with the Commonwealth Consulting Corporation in Arlington, Va.

“But the dynamics of international negotiations are that once you get 90 percent of what you seek, you say, ‘Maybe there is a way we can finesse the final 10 percent.’”

A clause permitting arms transfers solely between UN member states would allow UN member China to object to U.S. arms sales to Taiwan, a non-UN member that China considers to be a renegade province.

This would be highly problematic for the U.S. at a time when Beijing is engaged in an unprecedented arms buildup.

Another fear is that Arab or other states critical of Israel may use any treaty language on human rights standards to argue against U.S. arms transfers to the Israeli government – much in the same way they currently use the UN Human Rights Council to repeatedly condemn Israel.

Suchan said U.S. arms trade law is seen as the global “gold standard” for regulating arms transfers, but doubted many countries would be willing to raise the bar that high. Instead, the treaty that emerges is expected to set a lower global standard – which Suchan said would have the effect of reducing Washington’s ability to press for voluntary arms embargoes against rogue states.

“We might want to urge a country to not sell arms to a state whose government is particularly odious,” Suchan explained.

“But that government could then ask whether the sale is prohibited under the Arms Trade Treaty – and if it is not, they would argue they are meeting the international standard.”

U.S. gun lobby concern focuses on the emphasis the treaty places on governmental – as opposed to individual – rights to guns, LaPierre explained.

“They’re trying to impose a UN policy that gives guns to the governments – but the UN doesn’t in turn make moral judgments as to whether these governments are good or bad,” he said.

“If you’re the government, you get the guns, if you’re a civilian, you don’t. But this will just end up helping evil governments and tyrants.”

For LaPierre, the emphasis he sees at the UN on governmental rights reflects what he believes is a wider international tradition that contrasts with the historical American emphasis on individual rights.

“The UN view is that governments – not individual citizens – ought to protect people,” he said, signaling that this principle permeates the draft that negotiators are currently working with.

LaPierre says the treaty that is likely to emerge will have the effect of squeezing individual gun owners in the United States and elsewhere by imposing on them an onerous collection of regulations.

“If they get this through, then what comes along is the institutionalizing of the whole gun control-ban movement within the bureaucracy of UN – with a permanent funding mechanism that we [in America] will be mainly paying for,” he said.

“The world’s worst human rights abusers will end up voting for this, while the Obama administration has not drawn a line in the sand like the previous administration did. Instead, it is trying to be a part of this train wreck because they think they can somehow finesse it. But, to me, there is no finessing the individual freedoms of American citizens.”
